Founding her love of property through her Dad who was a developer, she has gained many years experience selling and valuing properties across Berkshire, but having been born in Heatherwood Hospital, she has Ascot in her veins! It’s a year later than planned, but Bracknell Ale & Cider Festival sponsored by Biltong Emporium and supported by Duncan Yeardley returns on Sunday 29th August for a 10th anniversary celebration.
This year the team has committed to providing much of the beer and cider from across Berkshire and the surrounding area, making a real showcase of what the county is producing at the moment – which we believe is amongst the best in the country.
New for 2021, is the Craft Beer Bar meaning visitors can enjoy even more of the best beer brewed in the area. Keeping up with modern times the event will also be promoting contactless payments, so purchases made at food vendors and for drinks tokens will all be accepting card payments.
The Thames Valley Buses’ shuttle will also run throughout the day, taking Festival goers from Bracknell Bus Station (opposite Bracknell Railway Station) to the Festival site and back again.
Bracknell Rugby Club will open the Festival at midday on Sunday 29th August and the event goes on through to 10:30pm, allowing visitors to relax on the following day – Bank Holiday Monday.
Tickets for the Festival are available online now, and cheaper when bought in advance at www.bracknellalefestival.co.uk priced £10 adults, or £5 CAMRA and local sports clubs members. Tickets will also be available on the day priced £15.
Under 18s are welcome with paying adults and don’t require a ticket – proof of I.D will be required as per the law; well behaved dogs are also welcome but must be kept on a lead within the Festival site, and any mess cleared immediately.
Covid-19
There are currently no restrictions on gatherings in England. However the Bracknell Ale & Cider Festival team still has a responsibility to offer a safe environment for its visitors.
The Festival takes place outdoors in the grounds of Lily Hill Park, and cover has been arranged.
Each ticket holder will be provided with a reusable stackable cup for the Festival which should be continued to be used by the same owner during the event. Additional cups will incur a charge.
Water and hand sanitiser will be provided on the Festival site and there will be formal, distanced queuing at the outside bars.
If you prefer to continue to wear a mask then you are encouraged to do so, but the Festival does take place outdoors, so it won’t be an expectation for visitors.
Most importantly, if you are feeling unwell or have tested positive for Covid-19 in the lead up to Sunday 29th August, please do not attend the Festival and follow UK Government guidelines.
