Helen Thring
Marketing & Operations Manager
Helen is Nick’s sister and she successfully set up and established our Lettings Department back in 2013. Having spent much of her career prior to DY working in marketing, Helen now heads up our Marketing & Operations department. This suits her organisational skills, creativity and keen eye for detail perfectly! She loves taking long walks with her Labrador Finn and when time permits, travelling and visiting new places around the globe.
Top of my bucket list is…
To keep travelling, visiting more new countries and ultimately, one day explore Europe in a (very comfortable!) camper van.
My guilty pleasure…
Ben & Jerry’s cookie dough ice cream. Probably best just not to buy it!
When I was younger, I wanted to be…
Less shy/more confident. Still working on it…
If I were a superhero, my superpower would be…
To help find a cure for cancer and dementia. Here’s hoping.
On Sunday morning, you can usually find me…
Up bright and early for a long dog walk in the country.
You might be surprised to know that…
One of my earliest qualifications as a teenager was as a Clarks trained shoe fitter. Ohh, all those back to school shoes!

We know! It’s hard to believe Hannah is old enough to have spent more than 20 years working in Lettings!
Having started with independent agent Atkinson & Keene in Maidenhead at the age of 19, Hannah’s first role was Office Junior. Answering the phone, greeting clients, filing and photocopying, making tea, and sending lots of faxes!
There was no email or even a website then, so agents relied on the local paper which came out every Thursday! Ahh, how we miss the property paper.
Within a year she had progressed to Lettings Negotiator and fondly remembers the first property she let! Hannah was then promoted to Senior Negotiator a year later and Lettings Manager two years after that.
Not surprisingly, Hannah’s career has not been without its little mishaps! She locked herself in a property once and had to climb out of a window. Taking a photo of a house, she found herself on the ground with grazed knees having got the heel of her shoe stuck – at least she managed to save the camera!
Back in the day, you would also have seen her photo plastered on a large billboard outside of the train station, on the back of a bus and at a bus stop!
The company was sold in 2012 to Romans. Hannah stayed and was promoted to Senior Manager but decided a corporate agency wasn’t for her and she really missed having clients as her core focus.
Having stayed in contact with Nick Thring, owner of Duncan Yeardley and previously a Partner at A&K, Hannah joined Team DY in 2021. She shares the same passion for the business, helping people and providing excellent customer service.
Covering Bracknell and Ascot, she also has many long-term, loyal clients in the Maidenhead area who she loves working with and have become friends. They have trusted Hannah to look after their investments and homes and often pick up the phone for help and advice, as she will always be open and honest and has years of experience to draw on.
If you would like to discuss letting a property, whether it’s for the first time or you have an investment portfolio, please do get in touch with Hannah and the team!
